HELPING ORGANISATIONS & INDIVIDUALS EMPOWER & PROTECT AUTISTIC ADULTS & YOUNG PEOPLE
Hi, my name is David and I provide autistic-led training and development programmes and professional 1:1 advice and support.
I am a NAS -trained speaker, trainer, autism needs assessor, writer and advocate, with 14 years’ professional experience in health and social care. I have a unique insight into the needs of autistic individuals as an “expert by experience, ” being an autistic individual, parent, carer and professional.
Wired4Autism was established to offer specialised autism-specific training for frontline staff in the health and social care sectors.
I also offer pre- or post-diagnostic autism needs assessments to adults or children to assist them with obtaining the appropriate education or care provision.
Following on from the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training Trial, and the Train the Trainer in Autism for Staff Working in Mental Health Units, both of which I was a co-facilitator, your staff will be supported to build upon these foundations and be advocates for positive change for autistic individuals.
My mission is to improve the lives of autistics and their families through promoting acceptance and advocacy and being the voice of those who continue to face social inequality and injustice. I am on the Advisory Panel for Autism Research at Birkbeck University London, and in September 2022, I will be studying for the PG Cert in Autism (Adults) with the University of Birmingham.
My full resume and qualifications are available on my Linkedin profile: https://www.linkedin.com/in/david-crisp-3864aa4b/
